Scholarship Winners

2004 

Each year, it is the intent of the Institute of Supply Management, Finger Lakes Region, to provide $1,000.00 Academic Scholarships to our local communities institutes of higher learning, specifically Corning Community College, Elmira College and a dependant of an NAPM member. The criteria for the scholarship is: the student must be enrolled as a full time, Business Major, Minimum Grade point Average of 3.0. The students must write an essay on their understanding of, and interest in purchasing as a career.

This year, ISM Finger Lakes Region awarded scholarships totaling $2,000 to two college management/business students. The winners were presented the awards at a dinner meeting on March 11th at The Corning Museum of Glass. 

The 2004 winners are Emily Dull and Gregory Waschezyn.

Emily Dull is a Senior at Elmira College majoring in Marketing Communications. A native of Elmira, she graduated from Horseheads High School. She is a member of SIFE (students in free enterprise), Gold Key Society and a varsity cheerleader. She has taken courses in marketing planning, business to business and retailing. Emily is a candidate for a Bachelors Degree from Elmira College in June.

Gregory Waschezyn is a resident of Elmira Heights and a graduate of Thomas A. Edison. He will graduate this May from Corning Community College with a degree in Business Administration. Gregory had taken courses in price analysis, marketing and marketing plan development . He is a member of Phi Theta Kappa, a computer technology assistant for the visually impaired, involved in project management and musical performance.
