ISM FINGER LAKES SCHOLARSHIP AWARD PROGRAM
Each year ISM Finger Lakes Region awards scholarships to eligible students from regional colleges. This year ISMFLR will grant two $1,000 Scholarships. Dependent children of affiliate members, attending any two-year or four-year college and meeting the criteria, may apply. Additional information is available at www.ismflr.org. Our goal is to be known as an organization in the community that supports education and encourages students to look into the field of Supply Chain/Purchasing for a rewarding career. By sponsoring an annual event each June, our affiliate raises the funds required to make these awards.
To be eligible for a scholarship, a candidate must meet the following criteria:
1. Full time student (at least a sophomore)
2. Minimum Grade Point Average of 3.0
3. Business related major
4. Expressed or demonstrated interest in the Purchasing profession
5. Available to attend ISM FLR Scholarship Awards dinner on March 22, 2012
The Scholarship committee (three ISMFLR Board Members) will interview final candidates on March 1, 2012, at which time a student picture will be taken.
All candidates applying for a scholarship become Academic Members of ISM entitled to attend monthly ISM Finger Lakes Region meetings, receive a monthly newsletter and receive the publication "Inside Supply Management". Academic Members are not responsible for paying dues to the organization.
The Scholarship Committee shall hold the right of selection approval. Application information is available electronically via the web www.ismflr.org
